Personal Life
Lian was born & raised in Mackay on the East Coast of Queensland, a tropical region with abundant, diverse wildlife & ecological marvel. From an early age she fostered her passion for the arts & her fascination with horses, & now remains a local to the Queensland region. Here she continues to practice her art, live a vegan, sustainable lifestyle, & care for her family, of both the human & animal variety. Lian consciously participates in the community, often working with others to provide homes for at-risk animals, searching for capable, kind people to provide displaced & forgotten animals with their forever homes.
Community
Lian works with public & private services to deliver grant funded, community-based art workshops & wellness programs. With diversity & inclusion at the centre of program delivery, an all-abilities approach provides the basis for attendees to explore artistic expression, while also increasing awareness of support services, education, & mental health programs. Ensuring regulation with WHS policy, Lian has worked within the capacity of a teacher, project manager, & assistant, to deliver programs to vulnerable youth, disabled, &immigrant groups. Taking place across a variety of locations, these programs focus on 1 on 1 & group instruction, with as many as 25 attendees of varying age & background.
